MS Gerard Schmitter
Named after the founder of CroisiEurope, the MS Gérard Schmitter sails on the Rhine and the Danube. The MS Gérard Schmitter is an intimate-sized Premium ship, measuring 110m long and 11.40m wide. It can accommodate 172 passengers, in 86 cabins spread over three decks. The size of each cabin is 13.50m2, offering amenities and providing guests with all the comforts they need during their stay. Decorated in subtle chocolate brown shades with glimpses of rosy-lilac, gives the ship a welcoming atmosphere. The decoration, created by Maria Rosa Rosello, pays tribute to the founder of CroisiEurope, who liked to paint delicate and flowery designs. Located on the middle deck, the restaurant, where all meals are served, offers delicate cuisine in a refined setting, where large windows allow guests to fully enjoy the panorama. On this same deck is also the lounge / bar with a dance floor. The sun deck, is ideal for relaxing and admiring the landscapes where passengers can enjoy comfortable sun-loungers, as well as shaded area.

Itinerary

Day 1: Frankfurt / Strasbourg
Arrival and transfer to Strasbourg. Visit Strasbourg Cathedral, La Petite France, Barrage Vauban, and Place Kléber. Embark the ship, welcome cocktail, and dinner.

Day 2: Strasbourg / Frankfurt
Panoramic coach tour and walking tour of Frankfurt, including the Cathedral and Römerberg. Free time before returning to the ship.

Day 3: Frankfurt / Cochem
Sail Moselle Valley to Cochem. Stroll town, visit St. Martin’s Church and Market Square. Explore Reichsburg Castle with panoramic river views.

Day 4: Cochem / Koblenz
Cruise to Koblenz at Rhine-Moselle confluence. Visit Deutsches Eck, Old Town, Jesuitenplatz, Church of Our Lady, Löhrstrasse, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress via cable car, and Schängelplatz.

Day 5: Koblenz / Rüdesheim
Cruise to Rüdesheim. Vineyard mini-train tour, wine tasting at Bassenheimer Hof, visit Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments, free time in Drosselgasse.

Day 6: Rüdesheim / Mannheim
Morning cruise to Mannheim, excursion to Heidelberg. Tour Old Town, Heidelberg University, Old Bridge, Heidelberg Castle, and free time. Farewell gala dinner onboard.

Day 7: Strasbourg / Frankfurt
Disembark in Strasbourg and transfer to Frankfurt Airport for departure.
